The Fuel Pre-processing system is a Spanish Technology that has been made in two THERMIE projects of the European Union D.G. XVII (in the framework of Rational Use of Energy in Transport).

 
 
COMPONENTS
 

PREUNIT

These parts create a Thermic Sandwich between the electric resistance and the hot water, causing the fuel's expansion and an optimum mixture of fuel's components. A zamak mineral alloy is placed in both ends of the brass tube. The entire kit is isolated by the epoxy resin and finally covered with an aluminium capsule.

The results of the Preunit components are: improved blend of fuel, better cold start phase on engines, consumption and pollution decrease.

 
UNIT

It is the next and last step for fuel in its way to the injection pump. It is composed, as the Preunit, of a snake-like copper tube through which fuel runs, a resistance inside of it and a zamak piece (bigger than the Preunit's) that embraces the snake-like tube. Here fuel finds a different temperature than in the Preunit. This different temperature and the effects of the zamak prepare the fuel before the chamber. When the fuel enters the combustion chamber is in optimum conditions to blend with the air that it finds inside the chamber.

As a result combustion is improved not only in the cylinder walls, but in the whole chamber and there is no unburned particles production. This is what we call Improvement in Combustion Quality and it increases engine's life span.

 
SENSORS

- Fuel temperature sensor. It measures fuel's temperature when it enters the combustion chamber, sending this information to the Control Centre.

- Exterior temperature sensor. It measures the temperature outside the vehicle (environment temperature) and sends the information to the Control Centre.

 
CONTROL CENTER

It is the brain of the system, controlling the system, sending the connect-disconnect signals to the Unit and Preunit, depending on the temperatures reported by the sensors.

The control centre has a serial exit RS-232. With a modem GSM plugged to this exit, the equipment can be programmed by means of sending short messages from an authorised cellular phone.

FUEL SAVING

In an average of 5%, as certified by the European Commission and ratified by our corporatives customers. The product's payback period is between 9 and 20 months depending on the fuel consumption.

We consider: 1) the short term problem that means the continuous increase of fuel prices , that is affecting millions of customers, general public, organisations, taxi drivers, 2) the long term problems such as the maintenance and exploitation of the planet's oil reserves .

POLLUTION REDUCTION

•  Pollution reduction of at least 50% in the maximun power (unburned particles), reaching the 99% vacuum acceleration in some vehicles/tests. These results have been certified by the European Commission as well as by our customers.

•  CO² emissions reduction , due to the improvement of the combustion conditions, together with fuel saving.

The CO² emissions reduction (gas that causes greenhouse effect) is a very popular matter nowadays, for environmental (melting of the glaciers, increase of the sea level, etc) and economic reasons (due to the fines to pay, distribution of CO² quotas among the developed countries, etc). A report from the international consultancy firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers, shows that the pollution trade will generate in 10 years a cash-flow of over € 9.015.181.566 per year, with an estimation of € 90 per ton of CO² issued. ENGINE'S POWER

Engine's power remains the same, as shown in the results obtained in bench test passed in SEPIVA, Official Diagnosis Centre of Generalitat Valenciana, Valencia, Spain .

ENGINE'S IMPROVEMENT

The global treatment of fuel, from its departure of deposit till the moment of its combustion, contributes to increase the engine's life. The unburned particles that scratch the components (segments, valves, etc.) are not produced, so the engine is cleaner. Other positive effect is that the product makes the engine's oil last longer and be cleaner than in standard conditions. Summarising, the product offers two types of saving:

•  Indirect saving , due to lowest revamping costs/spare parts cost.

•  Direct saving , because it makes engine's oil last longer.

PRODUCT'S LIFE

FPPS´ materials and components need no replacement.
